Every year around Black Friday we’re tempted to go along with the crowds that turn the season of celebrating Messiah’s birth into a spending frenzy. In this message on Elijah, we see the prophet take up the spiritual leadership of God’s people after the kings of Judah are seduced into compromising with the gods of the nations that surrounded them. The price of an uncompromised faith always seems high until we see the cost of losing touch with God’s priorities for our lives.
